GolfTech Academy was born from a vision to make world-class golf training accessible to every golfer in Kenya. Our founder, Winnie Wangari Ngethe, first encountered high-tech indoor golf simulators while living in the United States. Experiencing how these systems could analyze every swing detail, simulate famous golf courses and offer year-round practice regardless of weather sparked an idea; why not bring this innovation home?

With the support of her family, Winnie turned that dream into reality. In 2019, under Global Wellness & Lifestyle Ltd, the facility, then known as The Nairobi Golf Simulator, opened its doors at Rosslyn Riviera Mall as East Africa’s first indoor golf training center. Partnering with industry leaders like Foresight Sports Europe, Diamond Wishon Golf UK,, and PING, the academy introduced Kenyan golfers to a new era of precision coaching, custom club fitting and skill development.

After closing its doors for a period, the facility has been rebranded as GolfTech Academy and reopened at its new home; GolfTech Academy, Unit 14, Northern Bypass, next to Isuzu TMD. The upgraded facility now features additional high-tech equipment capable of making new golf clubs from scratch, along with a modern workshop for all types of golf club repairs.

With a refreshed identity, advanced tools and the same dedication to excellence, GolfTech Academy continues to be a hub for growing the golfing community in Kenya; nurturing juniors, refining professionals and inspiring everyone to play smarter, better and with the right equipment for peak performance.
